Grand Finale - Parade of Sail!
You can visit the fleet all along Toronto's waterfront from July 1 - July 4, but there's only ONE opportunity to see the Tall Ships manoeuvre under sail: during the fabulous Parade of Sail presented by Toronto Star and Porter Airlines, on Sunday, July 4th.  Only 1,000 lucky people will enjoy an unobstructed view of this grand spectacle, complemented by an entertaining, informative running commentary and music.
And, it's only as the ships pass the Grandstand Seats and head into the open waters that they will be able to engage in full sail manoeuvres (wind permitting) - a sight not to be missed!
Some Parade of Sail highlights
- Pride of Baltimore II and U.S. Brig Niagara will fire cannon salutes to the accompaniment of the Fort York Guard's Fife and Drum.
- Expert sailor Rob Gow and marine historical consultant Gord Laco will regale Grandstand Seat attendees with details about the ships, their history, and other fascinating background information. Their commentary will only be audible in the Grandstand.
- Canadian Coast Guard Ship Griffon, the only ice breaker large enough for a helicopter to enter the Great Lakes, will participate
- European-based ships Brig Roald Amundsen and Bark Europa will fly the flag for international sail training travel, in style
